    Greg,
    Hello I baught a 1978 18' mach one et boat, it has an older one piece berkely pump. i cannot afford to rest it this year but i can add keel its flat now will that make a diff with the old pumps and ride plate set up as it does with the newer style intake and suctions?

    Jim Kuklish back in the late 70's ran this type of hull and had good suscess with the stock bottom. How much power do you plan to run? I think I would concentrate on the pump and set up and leave the bottom alone at this time. Jim was able to run speeds over 100 mph with a 480 cubic inch modified engine so I'm sure the boat will run just fine with the right set up.
