I have an 8-71 Kuhl Blower that I run on gas and would like to learn how to re-strip and tolerance myself.
1) Where to get strips
2) How to install
3) How to tolerance
Any help/advice out there?

no help but, the blower shop rebuilds them for 300-400.
Contact PSI engineering in AZ.They'iisell you the strips and tell you what else you'll need and tolerences to check. As far as tolerences go in the blower (rotorsmain concern) all you can really do is replace the bearings to tighten it up, it if wearing through the strips at an abnormal rate machinceing will be required. Also a wise investment is a boost gauge with a recall setting, keep a log of each trip out and record the boost at a controled rpm speed that way when you see the boost levels start to bleed off you know its time to get it retaped. If you do go the route of someone rebuilding it go with them. They do an exception job and leave nothing to guess
