Jack's system works well ... I like this set up: (anywhere from $800 to $2300 depending on options)

I got mine from Jack. The good thing is if you have any problems with it Jack is always at the track to help.

racepak makes a good product, although a bit more dinero than the edelbrock. kz had a racepak system on the biz, and it's now installed on awesome toy. the expensive components for a jetboat application are the p/e transducers.

like john said, jack provides great support for the system. i've been using mine for 6 years, and when i've beaten it to death, he brings it back to life.

Six years ago I decided to try the EdelBrock's Advanced QuikData System in our boat rather than go with the RacePak Unit mainly due to being able to import data directly from the Q-Data into EXCEL (which cannot be done with RacePak Data as their devices output is in a proprietary format which they won't define for you) and do what I wanted to with it from there ... things like Process/Analyze the data with my own software, Combine Data Traces, Plot [@ my scale(s)], Whatever.

Also, I had been told by several people that it was difficult at best, and very expensive to get custom programs from RacePak. The significantly lower cost of the Edelbrock system certainly helped in making the decision. Once we figured out how to insolate/isolate the unit from transients in our electrical system, the unit worked, and continues to work great.

Another thing, after we got the unit installed, we ran into a problem that ultimately required replacement of the main board ..... Jack McClure (who we purchased the system from) worked hard and long with us to find what was wrong and stood up for us with the manufacturer. In the end, Edelbrock stood behind their product and replaced it, free of charge. Don't think you can get any better than that and I have no regrets about going with the QuikData.

Sounds like I need to get ahold of Jack.

Wanting to record
rpm
A/F mixture
boost
exhaust back pressure
intake manifold air temp
exhaust temp
fuel pressure
jet inlet pressure

Those should take care of me.

I talked to a tech rep from quickdata for quite some time on the phone about a month ago. He told me that they are coming out with a completly new unit sometime soon. If you think about it, the unit is getting pretty dated. It's about time to do some updates.

Here you go Jerry,
http://www.innovatemotorsports.com/
They have their own forum that shows how to set up everything,
http://www.innovatemotorsports.com/forums/index.php

You will want the LM-1 and the Aux box datalogger, $ 590.00 for both
http://store.summitracing.com/partdetail.asp?autofilter=1&part=INN%2D3756&N=700+400587+115&autoview=sku
I've got both of these and they have worked great for me.
I only hooked up RPM, A/F ratio, and MAP.
There are places for ten different aux inputs.

There is also a lot of tuning and datalog information on them on, www.theturboforums.com

If anyone is running the Racepak and needs the data in Excel I bet I could help with that...Excel has some built in tools for pulling data from a database...

Here's a pic of an Innovate LM-1 logworks datalog page,
http://www.performanceboats.com/html/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=1265&stc=1&d=1200534837
There is a timeline bar that you can move along and read the data at any specific point or you can play the whole run back through.

I didn't have the EGT thermocouple voltage configured correctly on this page so it read off.
