Every time I talk to anyone at Carrera/Aftershock they always say there'll be one every two years... it's been about 5 years now :mad:

Laughlin... for A little nightlife!
OR
Park Moabi... A huge, protected beach to line up on (And not ridiculously busy)

I'd love to suggest the Avi... but that place has become a joke.

Where ever you guys want to go Goose flats is down river in a nice big cove down from hidden Shores and is not shallow like Hidden Shores for bigger boats would maybe have a hard time getting there. Goose Flats is down past the Koa Resort. Just what ever you guys want to do I'm in for what ever.

I know not everyone camps, but having it near someplace to hookup the moho is good for us. Brian mentioned Moabi, and thats a good RV spot and a nice beach. I'd be down with someplace on the lower river thats close to camping too.

For me I need a hotel as I have no trailer or camping gear. I think it would be too HOT in July to be camping outside without A/C. My vote is for the lake Martinez area.

About time someone decided to head a regatta for the best boats out there!!! I'm down to do something, but have kid #2 on the way around June/July. Would August be possible for anyone??? Martinez/Hidden Shores is a great place to go. I've seen a lot of big boats there as well and all the sand bars are actually sand.

I think Carrera and Aftershock is one company. They do some great work there. If you need anything just talk to Alex and he will get it done for you.

I am down for the Lake Martinez area. lets take some votes and decide.

Like I said before I just spoke with them on Monday and Alex said that they have work and orders for new boats. Carrera/Aftershock is still in busines. I just picked up my new swim step about a month ago. He did tell me that there may be a Regatta in Sep.:)devil

Yep. Stay away from the lower river in your boat. :( Another problem with the lower river is that it is too narrow to turn your boat around while on plane. :(

What kind of boat does he have? Is it a 28' Fountain? I have been boating on Martinez for nearly 15 years, I have NEVER had a probelm turning my boat around. In fact there are boats up to 26' down there on a regular basis, Eliminator's and Ultra's just to name a few. Maybe I'm just confused by the post???

In my opinion you should have no problem at all. I have had friends with there 26' Advantage in the martinze area with no issues.

dirty looks? no not me, i just trip when i see you boat, your boat was the first boat ive been in over 100mph, thats why i bought one:D

I went to see if there was anyone at Carrera today in Corona to order a couple of parts. There is no more Carrera there and the shop looks to be a Nordic Showroom. Too Bad.

They have been out of that location fora long time now. Indian Motorcycles had moved in there 9did not last long) and now Nordic is moving in. I hear there is a lot of work with the building before they can fully move in. Sounds like they are having issues with the lanlord there.

I do remember, things are good. Hope all is well with you as well. I heard the doors were shut and they were a done deal, but I reaally do not know for sure. that is just what I heard. If I remember correctly the guy that owned Aftershock/Carrera is one of the new owners of Hot Boat.

I love the new HB mag has a add for Carrera only and they call the Aftershock Party 285 now the Carrera Party Effect 285. You can see the Carrera logo on the side but look at the cup holder pockets up front it clearly says Aftershock. Since Dennis sold Carrera sold Carrera and then left about a year ago they ran that name into the ground. I'm glad Dennis built my 29'.
