Default Lake Mead 2010

I noticed that you recently published the 2010 dates for the SCOPE road trip to Lake Mead, do you guys have an agenda / where to stay yet? Sounds like an exciting trip that we might try to make!

Nevermind its all on your website! There is a Shasta Poker run two weeks before so we'll need to choose one or the other. Shasta is much closer but Lake Mead looks like more fun and more boats!

Is there going to be a good turnout for this event? The Shasta Poker run was cancelled. Are people talking about this event on another forum?

I can't guarantee the number of boats this year, but the last two years was over 20 each trip. Here are a couple from last year.

Thanks Tom. Is there another forum where people are discussing details / agenda of the 2010 Lake Mead outing? I'm trying to get my buddy to bring his 32 Tempest, I'm going to bring my 26 Outlaw. I just looked on the Lowes Lake Las Vegas Web site and there are still rooms available for June 18th - 20th at $179 per night so that's good. Are you guys planning on staying at the Hotel both nights? Getting slips?

More info should be posted on the SCOPE site soon...
we are going up on Thur June 17th and planning on coming home Mon June 21 and staying at the hotel the entire time....

Most of the trip will be very similar to last years...the run up to Big Sandy Friday and the lunch run on Sat to midpoint....Sunday cocktails by the pool...

When you call up the Loews for reservations, tell them you are with the SCOPE group and you should get rooms for around $120 a night...

The info for the slips should be the same as last years also...
We haven't reserved our slip yet, but you can see in the pics, they let us tie up at the end of the dock, keeping us all together...

We got slips at the Las Vegas Boat Harbor/Marina last year. I think it is close to where the ferry runs from.

Hey Hot for Teacher, I just got a room at Lowes for Fri-Sun. I am out here working all summer from IL. I would like to participate with you guys, but do you have to be a member of SCOPE to run with you guys or is there a fee just for this event. I missed meeting you guys at Desert Storm.(it was bigger than I thought it would be). Any info would be great. Thanks Shay

Hey Shay,
Sounds good. Hopefully you made the reservations under SCOPE for the cheaper rates....and the dock reservations....
You don't have to be a member of SCOPE, just come and hang out with us.
We will be launching most of our boats on Thursday afternoon.
Usually we leave for our Friday run around 9am or so... Or at least get to the docks around then......
There are 22 rooms reserved so far and 15 boat slips reserved too....
No fees for this event...some of our sponsors help out.
Let me know if you need any help with anything,

Tom

Thanks Hot. I did priceline and got room at Lowes for 88 a night. I just sent Erin an E-mail for my slip. I plan to get to launch ramp by 830 Fri morning at marina. Might need to hollar at one of you to help me drop the boat in since I will be by myself on Friday. I will pm you my cell number. Really looking forward to Lake Mead
