Default Lake Jordan

Hate to ask a stupid question, but what was the issue with Lake Jordan, have been on that lake for years and we have never had issues with the popo at all we have a secluded cove of the beaten path that is large enough for the group, access is easy a pie, and there are some teriffic camping areas as well. Just my .02 cents, I live in Mass now and would welcome a trip to Jordan with the Sunlist

The schedule for the following year needs to be locked up by the last event of the year. Trying to make that happen. Some one will have to man up and put it together to try different lakes. We try to centralize the locations as much as possible as we have people from OH to Fla making the trips.

I know some of your members and I know you all have some great geatherings. Some or all of you should consider attending the couple of events they have at Lake Murray each year that is all about fast boats without a lot of rules and the same at Strom Thurmond Lake. I attended one at each lake last year and had a great time. Everyone at both places were friendly, cordial, and there for a good time with some racing mixed in. I know those organizers would love to see you all come down to South Carolina and join in the party. Both lakes have a lot to offer.

Too many rookies out on New Years Eve that don't have any experience the rest of the year and they'll get blitzed and run over you. I was still up at midnight watching Travis Pastrano set another world record, though.

That sounds like a Jerry Stowers statement.

Jordan lake will be a fun place. I live 5 mins down the road, and have seen Grant and Danny running around a lot...there a few good coves, and nice camping also. Is someone going to make an actual written schedule for the year?

We talked to some of the game wardens at Jordan, and they said they didn't have a problem with jets, as long as we don' cause any 'problems'. They are VERY STRICT about the 'no alcohol' rule in the campgrounds (all 4 of them) but other than that, it's great. There's a couple of hotels about 15-20 minutes away if folks don't want to camp.

Let me know if you want me to gather more info... I'd be glad to!

I think that would be great Amy...

Can you do some research for that area? I think that Grant was going to look into it as well. Several of us would like to do an event at Jordan.

We had a great time when we visited and stayed at the campground with you all. They are very strict on the alcohol at the campgrounds but I think a hotel would work better for all of us.

Thanks

They are definitely strict on the booze out there (trust me I know), but as long as you are not being stupid, and !DONT PARK ON THE GRASS! you will be all good. Just a good have fun, be loud and proud type lake. I know y'all dont know me, but I have lived here all my life 5 mins from the lake, so I can help you out w/ hotels for big groups also incase Grant is overloaded.

click on rules and regulations, continue, vessels, then the letter J.

Lake Jordan NC- Been on it once in a bass tournament. Grant will have to input on a good location to launch and hang out, motels etc.

Ravenswood WV- Nice river and sandbar. Seaweed sucks!! Good place to make passes. Need a good sandbar on the Kanawha river. (near the capital or hooters)

High Rock Lake NC- Good for me. Most of you have been there. Was wondering if anyone would be interested in doing it the same weekend as the High Point Lucas Oil Boat Drags. Maybe hit High Rock FRi and Sat and go to the finals on Sunday???
Or do it a different weekend all together??? Thinking of about the last weekend of May.

Lake James NC- Mandatory! Pray for NO rain and warm weather.

Smith Mtn.Lake VA- Very nice lake. Scott, Tim and Fred need to find a nice beach to hang out at. Seems Smith Mountain and High Rock are more convienent for towing to for most people.

Lake Anna VA- Nice if you go to Jacks when he has his deal. The other location (muddy azz cove) not so much. Not many rooms available in the area. (They book up quick and are over priced)

High Point is in July.
