I would like to bring to the attention of the forum and our boating community that Hal (Holorinhal) has gone above and beyond the call of duty!
As some of you know, 4 or 5 years ago I stumbled into ownership of a 1977 Sanger dubbed "UFOII". After a few years of research and asking countless people if they had heard of the boat before, We were lucky to find the original builder, owner and a bunch of guys that help put the boat together in the late 70's. The History of the boat is by far the coolest part about the boat and i'm honored to have it in my possession. The sanger is extremely close to being in original condition, with just a few pieces missing, that have been seperated from the boat over the years.
Hal had bought some parts off the boat before I purchased it, and before the history was found. He had them on his boat, before the unfortunate accident. Shortly after the accident, he contacted my Father (Jrork) and explained that he may have some of the parts off the UFOII and that he'd like them to come back to the boat.
I have stressed the fact that I want to get all the original pieces that are left missing from the boat, just due to being a full time college student, i haven't had a ton of spare cash laying around to purchase them from their rightful owners. I never ever expected the following.
Hal and I exchanged a few PM's about some other things and he added "Thanks for reminding me that i have some UFOII parts".... this was last week. Today a box showed up with Hals name on the sender info. Inside were pieces from the UFOII's original calgo steering. Another piece to the puzzle has been returned, and I can't thank Hal enough!
Hal, you made my day. Pm me what I owe ya!
