Brendella Boats?
What are everyone's opinions on Brendella jets? I am looking at a 18' bubble deck but not sure about the manufacturer or the value. Any help would be appreciated.
Also - looks like I will be selling my 1985 Eliminator 21' Mojave if anyone is interested. I am the third owner and the boat only has 225 hours on it. Original upholstery etc.

I have a '79 Brendella bubble 18', BBF with jacuzzi WJ. Stock it wld spin in the mid 4000 rpm not sure on speed. Energized it, put droop and diverter and got up to 4800 rpm. Then I did some head work (exhaust) and bigger cam Dyno @5400 it made 462 HP, that got me 5000. Then I put inducer and got 5200 max rpm. Now I got 514 stroker and I'm spinning 5700 rpm. Putting ride plate and shoe now, thanx to MPD. I will get a gps # this year. All in all I love the boat as its been in my family for 20+ years.
The one I am looking at is also a '79 18' bubble deck with a 454, berkeley JG and droop. The owner claims 70 mph but they alway say that so I was hoping to get some comments that might support his claim. I am going to run it tomorrow and slip a gps in my pocket just for fun.
My old motor spinning 5200 was easily over 70mph. However my pump was built, with A impellor, inducer, droop snoot, and diverter. Another thing to look at is if its a delta pad like mine. The bottom of the boat being flat at and for a foot or 2 in front of the jet intake. This is just my personal experience, I'm sure there are others with similar info. A good running, clean boat could go from 3-6k. I would recommend goin on a lake test if possible. Even if u have to wait for good weather. Better to know if it works and see any potential issues before u make that initial investment. Good luck

Well I went ahead and picked up the Brendella yesterday. It is really a nice boat. I already have the pump torn down and will be re-plumbing a few things but I really like it.
Congrats! We had a Brendella for about 10 years and I always considered it a well built boat with better than average quality. I'm certain you will be happy. Good luck!
CONGRATS, looks just like mine.1 thing I had issues with, were the set screw adjustments on trailer bunks. If yours has those, looks like ur bow bunk might. Make it part of ur pre and post inspections.
So as you are looking at the pictures of the blue boat what are your feelings about how much it is worth? Without the motor. I need to come up with a fair price for someone who may want a great cruiser.

congrats on the new ride, maybe worth it not to seperate the motor from it if its orginal ( not sure if it matter but always nice to say its all orginal ). It isnt to much to buy a 454 and put a few $$ into it to have a good powerful motor for a lake boat.

Beautiful boat!!! I'm in the same boat (pun intended) as you. Looking to sell my Eliminator and working on getting Southwind once I get the wife's boat done.
The deck of the wife's Sundance looks like a splash of the Brendella.
