Hello and Welcome to Jet Boats and the PB forums , Honestly one of the cool things about Jets IMO has been the lack of neccesary maintenance, beyond obvious "lube points" on the various jets along with basic engine maintence (oil changes and tune ups) , checking bottom hardware etc theres little to do Lots of good more specific infomation from the folks here enjoy your boat and have fun Tom

Not something you'd want to do regularly.

Not sure i would use the reverse as a brake while I've got my foot on the go pedal... but around the dock or no wake zone the reverse is all you got. Just pay attention and keep your distance from others. Hopefully you'll never be in a situation where you are looking for the second pedal.

    Just had to share..

Used to spend every summer playing on the Lower Rogue River in southern Oregon as a kid. They have the Mail Boats, Courts Whitewater Jets and Jerry's Jets running up the river for tourists..

We were heading upriver one day on the short trip on a boat piloted by Court Boice and it was hotter than hell, so we get to a wide spot in the river about 15 miles up and he decides to do a full reverse blip at like 50 MPH, with three 460CI Fords at about 400 HP a piece it was pretty dramatic, me and my buddy were sitting int he rear of the boat just in front of the pilot and all I heard was "woops"...I look up and saw a wall of water that I swear to this day was green it was so thick...

We got stupid wet and never laughed so damn hard in all my life.
