    Default Spectra open bow?

Looking at buying a spectra open bow with 1/4 stingers its for sale here on the boards. I need some info on the boat if it can handle big power and fast speeds and still be safe for the family to cruise and maybe beat up a few hot boats any info on these boats would be awesome!!!

With all the work you will be putting into it you could always put full stringers in it! Looks like a fun project.

My .02 cents. It's a project boat as stated in the add. Definitely would be a nice family boat. No on the big power, it's only a 1/4 stringer. This hull was never designed for big power or high speeds. Yes on being a safe boat. If your up for a big project and want a nice, fun family boat, drop a pump and a big block in this, maybe some paint and some interior and have fun. I think the price is more than fair if this is what you want, just be sure you understand the task you're taking on.

Ya it's definitely a builder!!! Lol seems like the projects are always a good price especially when you don't have the cash to fork out for a fairly new boat all ready to go. I guess i could put the 460 out of my sleek into it. Its close to 500 hp and could put my 521 into my sleek. Just need a more lake style boat for the family and make my sleek the racer. Not afraid of work been building mine for five years.

I was going to put full stringers in it so that it was a lil stronger. It easier to do than most people think.

Take a look at this build, Glencoe/River Rescue build
