Default 1976 Dimarco 460 Banks Twin Turbo

Hello, I'm new to this site. I just picked up a 21' Dimarco 460 Banks twin turbo Daycruiser. Wondering if anybody knows about this set up. I have some questions about it's performance. They wooped the moter but and it needs a rebuild and was trying to decide whether to keep it with turbos or not. Anybody interested in the kit? How reliable are these things. Can a wideband be used or is it needed? Man, I have several questions, would really like to pic someones brain. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Did these set ups come new when the boat was built(factory if you will). Even the boost gauge matches. Hmm...very interesting for sure.

    Cool

Where are you located? If California then we could build & deliver a 460 engine for you and take your grenaded engine as a core (interested in the turbo system). Or build a new long block for your turbo system. We specialize in 460 engines; call the shop or PM if interested.

I'm in Washington State, probably wouldn't be cost effective to ship there. Thanks for the offer anyway.

I can't tell you much about the 460, but I have been running a banks/pfm setup for a while and just recently added the wideband. The answer is yes, it can be done, but how much of a PIA depends on the exhaust you have and what modifications you are willing to do.

Some pics here: The Boat - a set on Flickr

    and as it sits now:

When you say 'whopped' the engine'...what exactly do you mean?

Btw...pics of YOUR setup will also be very helpful in helping you.
