It's just what your going to do with it?
Jet boat= Holley
Daily driver= edelbrock
I've never really had a problem with either one. They both have been around forever for a reason! I feel the Holley is a little bit quicker and the edelbrock is really dependable... Just my .08€
I used to bracket race a 70 Nova with a 454 LS6 crate motor. I ran a 625 Carter (similar to Edelbrock) to the track and an 850 Holley DP for the racing. I'd bolt the Carter back on for the drive home. Averaged about 15mpg with Carter and mid 12's with the Holley.
All three can be great carbs.... Personally, I'd go with the Holley just because of parts availability just about anywhere, simplicity, and "bang for the buck"......... That said, I prefer injection......But maybe not on a recreational boat....(or any black flatbottoms!!!)
