impeller machine angle??

i have been looking at a chart that shows differences between impeller size and small dia and machine angle.


its stated as such

size...... small dia..... mach.ang.
aa........ 7-7/16"....... 57-1/2 deg
a......... 7-1/4"......... 60 deg
b......... 6-3/4"......... 56-1/2 deg
c......... 6-1/2"......... 56-1/2 deg

question time: why does the A have a steeper cut by a few deg and a spread between a-b of half inch where as the other steps are closer or at 1/4"
if you started at the A cut and machined it to the 56-1/2 deg starting from the 9" outside, would that make it an AB imp?
