I will be running a stock set of large oval 454 heads with a .030 over bore and srp small dome pistons. should I run larger valves for my setup or can they stay stock? What are the advantages/disadvantages?

What size in it now? The more power you want the bigger the valve. Any head casting numbers?
Large ovals respond really nicely to a 2.19/1.88 upgrade for a 454. Advantage is the oppportunity for a modern valve job for better airflow, more valve area for more airflow, and if it's done right, you should reduce the valve stem and guide diameter to 11/32 for better airflow and basically no increase in valve weight going to a larger valve. You would also take the opportunity to upgrade the quality of the valves which is a plus for marine use. There are no disadvantages other than cost.
