Top mount starter for BBC ?

I've done some research and think I've found the correct starter but wanted confirm. I currently have an old 3 point top mount reverse rotation starter on a BBC with an Indmar bellhousing. The starter can hardly turn the boat over when it’s hot and struggles to turn over when cold. Can't find anyone in Dallas that knows shit about these reverse starters. The Tilton's look nice but $500 for a starter is crazy.

I also came across a guy named Ron Cook in AZ that supposedly sells starters but I cannot reach him by phone and I'm not in AZ.

So what do you guys recommend? I would like to start this thread to also help others out that are looking for the same thing because there really isn't much info out there. Would be nice to get a list of mfg's and part numbers to help others out.

I appreciate the responses. I have not taken it apart yet.

I talked to Ron Cook and he said he does not carry the 3 point type I'm looking for. Ron said the Tilton would be the way to go, but I cannot shell out $500 bucks for a starter. I'll probably go with the IMI or call Tom at jetboatperformance and see what he has.

Thanks for starting the post. I have a top mount two hole mount starter. it has a mercury starter on it. Anyone recommended an upgrade without breaking the bank or is mercury good enough
