Fact' if your trying to "squeeeze" the boat for every last drop of Performance yes if not that original style/design (second generation,I belive) diverter works very quite well , Son Josh just re-engineered that piece and swaped it out for his newer "ride plate stlye" this past month we will now produce this from that older stlye with butt bucket if anyone wants one Tom

You can machine down that older style reverse chute to be flush with the bottom of the round nozzle. This will reduce chances of drag. Yes the nozzle can be bored for inserts.

As RCB said that older PD has been bored for a choke and the machined and filled to "close" off the reverse chute Tom
