Well, here I am at square 1 starting all over! Last run of last season finely got it running it's azz off and droped a valve! And as you all know had to built a new motor. Did an upgrade on motor and pump, changed the impelor going to give a AT HH a try! So it's back to the grind stone till I work out the kinks!
Motor is in and all new plumbimg done, wiring finished with a few added extras!devil pump is back and ready to install tonight! If all goes well I will be ready to hit the water Sat. or Sun. but the weather is not working with me!
Build is a 496 Pro Comp heads 10.1 comp Chris Straub cam profile dominator intake and Chuck Nuytton 850 carb. Produced 700 HP,700 Ftq ought to be fun ride! I was not looking for a race rocket but a sleeper creeper!:|err Scott Seastrum built pump and as I said a few extras!
I hope everyone has a good boating season and good luck with their projects! WTdevil
Trying something different to see if it helps! Tested Sunday And man does it bite HARD! I set it a little tight and now got to get a little loosey! WTdevil
Well, I am pulling the pump back apart and changing the impellor from an HH A to a HH B to see if I can get the RPMs up! The HH A is a biting BITCHgrn over the old impellor! The 496 has no problems moving this boat from point a to b in a flash! We will later install a inducer if the cavitation problems persist!
As I said in starting this thread "Starting All Over" as always, one thing leads to another. THIS BOAT IS GOING TO WORK!!! We will try a few new tricks to see if anything helps or hurts and post it up! Later! WTdevil
Question? Why are you adding an inducer if "she is a biting bitch"? What were you spinning the HH "A" to and what should the expectations of the HH "B" turn in comparison?
Im non induced and My turd leaves pretty hard as she sits.
You would not belive the difference from the Berk A, it was bad compared to the HH A. I am still trying to get the setup right! My RPM is to low for the motor 5000 when I need to turn 5700-5800 and oh yea the HH B might not do it could have to go to a standard B to get that RPM!
OOOOOOOOH WEEEEEEEE! This is the way this thing should run! New impellor made this thing rock! Thanks to Scott and AT for the help and a well tuned impellor! I am where it needs to be no NOS needed! WTdevil
colby talked to scott this morning, glad it went well was up there yesterday and looked at your impeller before you got there, those hi-helix mof-fos are bad lookinggrn
im not colby, but his pump guru scott seastrum, told me he turned a B minus hi-helix impeller 5800.said the boat pulled really hard and he was pretty damn happy with the results.
oh sleeper different impeller.the other 1 scott still has.
colbys boat is pretty heavy imo and would be considered by me a lake boat.nothing wrong with that at all.
that impeller that they put in had been really been worked over.they done some cutting on the blades front side and then cut it to a b- closer to a straight b-cut imo by looking at it.they had b- stamped on it.
nothing to be ignorant about chris.its not the heaviest lake boat by anymeans.
scott also said that his intake pressure was down abit and once he dialed in his shoe combo ect.he is going to have a very nice running machine.
as you can tell when me and scott talk i get all fired up.lol!!!!!!!i love this shit.
