GTH intake question

I'm lookin at an 18' CP with a GTH intake and was wondering what you guys think of these pieces. Also do any of you have any parts for GTH intakes as I'm about 95% sure I'm gonna buy it.

The GTH is a copy of the berkley R. Im not certian, but i think the GTH takes the standard berk hardware. If it doesnt and its like the R hardware, get ready to make your own stuff. The GTH I beleive is a 7* intake like the R.

that intake does have the standard bolt pattern for the loader but shoe and ride plate will need some hand blending work and just some general custom fitting, and will be close to the bowl. I had one in a GT hull and it worked great up to about 80 mph and after that i couldnt get it to work right. then bought my cp with the standard intake and set it up and havent touched it since and its running 105. i either got lucky or they are idiot proof and anyone can set it up!

Post a pic of the intake and setup if possible. GTH made pretty nice stuff, the guy behind all of it was an ex berkeley employee. Futs may be right that its an R copy and yes it does accept the 4 hole loader. A standard loader should fit just fine, if not make it fit by grinding the loader (same deal with other Lp intakes in some cases) The thing to watch out for with a low profile in a gullwing is rideplate clearance. With the jet being so low the rideplate usually hits the bowl before you get to the plate angle you need, running a backcut shoe helps move the plate away from the bowl. If that really is a 6 degree intake you will most likely have some interference problems but there are usually solutions for it, just takes time to sort out. If you like the boat go for it and sort out whatever hardware issues you may have later on.

Thanks Chris, I can't post pics pics until I get the boat so I will then. Is it a good Intake for 100+mph runs or is it an 80 mph deal?

Well, lets see, I know going places ran one, rich bitch ran one, Im running one, Porters placecraft is running one Wes' placecraft is running one and there are a few cp's running them out at big river and I know that all the ones i listed go over a hundy easy.

Well I lucked out and had alot of hardware from the old days laying around the garage from all the fuelers. I have 4 shoes and 3 loaders and soon will have a couple more shoes done. I know a guy who knows a guy that has a mill....
