    After yesterday's fishing trip a friend asked me to look at a boat on a work rack at the marina. He said the owner just had new upholstery made for the inside. I looked. I got sick. I laughed.

    How do you describe this?

    Seems the owner sent the panels, seats and bolisters out to be re-done. Then HE put them back into the boat. Used indoor dry wall screws. Long ones. Put the boat in and quickly took on water. The marina pulled the boat.



    This is the starboard side. Between the two sides I counted 43 holes in the bottom.

    Here's the port side.



    Is this MORON boat repair or what?

    Ive done that, but just with one screw LOL. I wonder if the thing was trying to make a hard right turn the whole time?

    OMG!...that is classic!...im assuming that he has cocktail seating in this boat?? hope he got a good deal on the seating!

    Now thats some funny Stuff right there! When I worked at a Chrysler dealer I saw Radio mounting screws on a CHP car put thru the console into a tranny case and Van conversion work screwed into into Gas tanks But that tears it!

    we had one with a screw that would hit the driveshaft when you hit a dip...it was like nails on the chalkboard!

    A "catch all" tray under the seat of a '77 Dodge power wagon. Screwws right into the plastic fuel tank at a location below the max fill level. It was a stepped tank.

    Cas, no guarantee that it is not screwed to the trailer. But I will bet that those seats won't blow out on the freeway
