    You favorite aluminum polish?

I used to swear by blue magic...lately I have been using something with a rabbit on the bottle that works really well.

Mothers and a power ball works great! Turns black then rub off with clean towels comes out bitchen. Just don't let it dry to log or you will have to go over it again. I think the key is a clean towel the polish leaves the towels black keep rotating to clean parts of towel.

x2, I'm all about using Mothers. It's good stuff but clean towel for removal is key.

stopped at a truck gas center recently and was surprised that they must of had 30 types of aluminum polish on the rack. have used mothers, mcguires and flitz with good results, they had a brand called bomb and it apperars to polish to higher or cleaner shine imo. might want to check out a local semi-center and find your choice.

What is the black junk when you polish?? My thought is it's something coming out of the Aluminum.. So eventually, I'm thinking, I should be able to get it all out.. Wrong- up till now... Hoping it'll stop next time..

Like magic, there's always more black junk.. Hate that shiiit, get on everything.

i've tried damn near every polish you can for alumn. seems like the best ones are always small companies and always go out of buisness. I used to use only mothers but switched to hot mags (it's so much better) but recently tried flitz with a mothers power ball and thats the ticket. Without a doubt the hot mags has done the best job for off the shelf polish but side by side you can see a huge differance with the flitz.

and no you will never get rid of the black stuff.

Simi Chrome for the blue & yellowing on headers, Mothers for everything else.

Agree on the Zephyr. Or Magic Mix works great. I bought mine at a truck parts store.

Buff Magic by Yacht Brite, used for buffing Gel Coat, and metals. Can polish out aluminum thats been D/A finished with 400 grit to mirror finish by hand very easily.

If you are trying to maintain shine the all those mentioned will work, but if the part is dull you gotta do it the hard way, sand smooth, then get out the buffing wheel and compound.
