after I got my new carb and got that running started thinking that something just wasn't right... started running like crap... saw a leaking valve cover... so get home and take the valve covers off... well, I've never done this so I really didn't know what to expect... what I found was that one of the rocker arms had come loose and allowed the push rod to then bounce off the valley into a rivet on the bottom of the intake... well, didn't stop there... I've been needing to do little bit of work for the last couple of years and just never had the time or the money... well, I still don't have the money, but I have the time... so we pulled the heads off to do new gaskets... good thing too... lots a water in the cylinders... no wonder... no telling how long it's been ran like that... I know that is was like that when we all went to beaver... lots of you seen it then... so, gonna get new gaskets, and clean all this up... it looks like these have never been cleaned... lots of rust... I'd like to get that aluminum intake now that it's apart, but I don't know... should be running a little stronger once we get it all back together... needles to say, I have been EXTREMELY lucky... no whammies...
