    Default Throttle stop?

    This is prolly a dumb Q ......but I've pretty much got the daytona rigged and it seems odd to me that there is no physical throttle stop other than obviously when the linkage itself is maxed out. Is that normal? It seems like that would be a little hard on something. I dunno.

    Thumbs up Throttle Stop

    Throttle stops are good. Mandatory by NJBA and IHBA.

    Here is mine on a Lightning foot Throttle. Took me about 2 hours to make out of a solid chuck of 6061 aluminum.

    no, but there's a number of different ways to do something similar to what widowmaker has done. much better than overtravelling your throttle linkage and having it bind, which can lead to bad things. carb manufacturer's recommend a throttle stop.

    I guess i just don't burry my foot hard enough. Don't have one and can't really bind anything, been 30 years now.

    I was just thinking the same thing. I haven't berried my foot in mine yet because of the same concern. I may just have to rig something up. hillbilly style till lightning gets one machined into there foot throttles.

    If someone really wanted one I could make another. They wouldn't be cheap though. My time alone was two hours in machining.
