Default Fresno Jet Hull... Info and History ??

Hey everyone, I recently saw a Fresno Boats Hull in the boats spam section, I believe it was a 1971 Fresno flat, v drive........ Which made me wonder the history of this hull..... I personally own a 1978 Fresno Boats semi-V hull berkley jet...... Can anyone give me any info/history of these boat hulls or the company ???

I won't be a lot of help here, but I can tell you this about your boat in particular..............

It's yellow and has some very nice deck ornamentation.

No connection between Fresno and Sanger Boats except their shops were less that 10 miles apart, and I think they both used Lee Wells for their interiors. I don't know when Fresno stopped building boats, but I drove by their shop a few months ago, and they were gone. In the 60s, Fresno began custom building fairly well respected flatbottoms, that were characterized by very low freeboard, a flat deck with a narrow dash, and a wide cockpit area. In the 70s, they also built an 18' jet with a similar look, but with a shallow v hull that produced a rough, but fast ride. They also built a 21' daycruiser with a rounded deck (as opposed to the angular Spectra style deck). I had the one below for 8 years (currently listed on caigslist--not by me)

I have also seen some 20' v-drive and jet mini cruisers with a bubble deck that were built though at least 1989. In fact there is also one listed on craigs list--not by me. http://fresno.craigslist.org/boa/1654515303.html
