Of you guys running thru-hull headers, what brands are you running? Why do you like or dislike them? Any of you running a SBC? Who all makes SBC thru-transoms?

The big difference is "water jacketed"' water injected' Is isn't a wise move to run injected headers with a closed engine compartment.
I have a BBC for my Dimarco but the headers will be for a stroked 383 in a 16' Tahiti. I have logs for it and a set of old Bassett twistys over transom, but I want thru-transom now. I'm looking for someone that can say the "performance is night & day different for the thousand $ more set" or not. I probably won't have the boat too many more years.

I doubt you'll find anyone who'll stick their neck in that noose.
From a performance standpoint I doubt theres much (if any) difference between water injected and water jacketed headers.
For your purposes, especially considering you don't plan on keeping the boat, I'd go with the standard water injected type.
That's kinda what I was looking for. I just can't see paying a thousand or so more for the same performance. If I picked up 100hp, I'd think more about it.
If times ($) were better, I'd pop for the jacketed, but I think I'll save the extra money for the Dimarco build instead.

i like those rewarders but they probably cost half of what i got my boat for
