    Default Thru-hull headers

Of you guys running thru-hull headers, what brands are you running? Why do you like or dislike them? Any of you running a SBC? Who all makes SBC thru-transoms?

I believe he wants headers, not logs.
I have a set of rewarders for an olds, haven't used them yet but the quality is there.

Why do you like the Lightnings? I think the Rewarders are just as expensive, aren't they? It's tough to spend two grand on a boat thats worth not much more. Is there that much better performance than the thousand dollar set?

The big difference is "water jacketed"' water injected' Is isn't a wise move to run injected headers with a closed engine compartment.

My boat is open, so closed compartment isn't a issue. Other than the "Jacketed" don't discolor, is there a performance gain?

not that you would notice. But hey dude if you have a small block jet?? I would run logs! Headers isn't gonna be enough.Hell I would run "whatever i could find" or have and call it good. Save your $ for a BBC

I second the Big block thing! Save your money and drop even a stock big block motor for the price of the headers!

I have a BBC for my Dimarco but the headers will be for a stroked 383 in a 16' Tahiti. I have logs for it and a set of old Bassett twistys over transom, but I want thru-transom now. I'm looking for someone that can say the "performance is night & day different for the thousand $ more set" or not. I probably won't have the boat too many more years.

I doubt you'll find anyone who'll stick their neck in that noose.

From a performance standpoint I doubt theres much (if any) difference between water injected and water jacketed headers.

For your purposes, especially considering you don't plan on keeping the boat, I'd go with the standard water injected type.

That's kinda what I was looking for. I just can't see paying a thousand or so more for the same performance. If I picked up 100hp, I'd think more about it.
If times ($) were better, I'd pop for the jacketed, but I think I'll save the extra money for the Dimarco build instead.

    I got em. sending PM.

Basicly i got some rewarder TT headers. I currently run Rewarder OT headers. the OTs look cooler in my opinion. Performance gain was nill.. You can hear a hell of a lot better with TT. this is for a SBC jet.
