Going fast is only half the fun ... what you make go
fast is the other half.

is this a running boat right now. and if so, how fast is it going and at what rpm?
Well, to start, with that HP, I would go A or AA cut, you are closing on 6,000RPM with an A Berk.
You can ALWAYS cut it smaller for very little $$$$.
Making it grow bigger, a bit harder.
Once you get a setup to work from, then the adjusting starts with the shoes, droops or snoots, nozzle bushings, rideplate angles, diverter, etc, etc. Seems endless, and the posibilities are I suppose.
What is the RPM you make 650HP at? VERY important.
An A is no good if you don't make that untill 7,000RPM, because you'll NEVER get there. A "D" cut maybe.
Guy on another board had a 502 dynoing 718HP @7-grand
Put a Berk A cut behind it, made 4,000RPM, MAX, due to the way the power development was.
My 350HP 454 spun same impeller 4,800RPM.
