mpd loader and shoe

well i installed my new "6F" blocker loader,demensions are,(as jack wrote them on my work order)2-1 5/8-12-2 7/8-6F.....and a 3/4-2*b/c-13 1/4 shoe...also installed hi and lo suction housing pressure taps to liquid filled gauges.....the loader job required engine removal(way less time)than drill and tap job,for the new shoe,as jack didnt like where my old shoe mounting holes were.nothin like layin on the floor under the boat drillin and tappin,sooooo this new loader is waaayyyyy different than my old super sport style...its half as long...unfortunatly i was not able to do the "one change at a time" deal.i know ,i know, i just didnt have the opportunity to go back and forth to the river...oh also added a bowl stuffer and cleaned up and speed coated the inside of the bowl...the shoe is now 1/16 above keel and the loader ramps are 1/8 to 1/4 below , also the shoe/intake mouth opening is 1 1/2 smaller.all and all the job went smoothly.im still waiting for a bowl shim.......hope to see the river by wednesday.80.7 last out on gps and ill prolly be pissed if i dont see at least 10 mph...any thoughts on gains or hole shot diffs?????????? mikey ......p.s. my inducer is on the way

Refresh my memory if you would. How much power and what impeller? And how did you have it set up when you hit 80.7?

One of the 1st things my engine builder said when he saw our boat was "ditch the spark arrestor and baffles....they kill horsepower"
I need the arrestor to hold my scoop on, so I gutted it of most of the mesh screen material. The baffles I keep with me.....in a bag, on shore, just in case some dickhole watercop demands that I muffle it.
Don't be too pissed if you don't reach 90 the first time out. Take your tools, shims, angle finder, etc and be ready to make some changes to reach your goal. You'll get there.

You need a larger diameter alternator pulley, think about how fast the alternator is spinning when the engine is at 6K rpm....

By slowing the alt. down, you have less chance of pitching a belt and will lose a little parasitic load...I would even go smaller on the crank pulley

[/IMG]where can i get a diff alt pulley that isnt 100.?....i didnt think about the loader pic until i crawled out from under the boat,,,oops...pretty sure,from the pics i saw of tnyoungbloods new loader ,that they are the same...its tny's loader

Yep we got the same loader .. Good move there .. I runnin full droop and when I hit 87 I had the 4* wedge and my rideplate was about 3.5* .. Got the rideplate to 4* and tryied the 2* wedge and she hit 90 ... Really won't to see how the B/C shoe works for ya .. You and I are prety close to the same HP so get some pics or a video to look at
