suggestions on where to find parts...
I need the following parts:
Throttle cable linkage and hold down... I have the cable itself and the plate that gets sandwiched beween intake and carb, but the little hold down is missing, and i need a ball to connect to the carb throttle lever.
BBC alternator bracket
BBC balancer pulley for alternator
I'm hoping i can get the pulley and bracket together so that everything lines up.
Whats a balancer pulley for the alternator?

I would think we need to know what motor mounts are in the boat to fix the Alt. bracket! Any pics? WT

Most 4 pt mounts for BBC have an Alternator bracket "boss" cast in to the left side of the front mount and a simple tensioner arm.On 3pts we use a steel "J" bracket that bolts low on the left next to the timing cover and an Alternator tensioner arm off the top of the Alt to a block or head accesory hole call if you need help Tom
I'll take a stab at it...I would think he's referring to the pulley that bolts to the front of the harmonic balancer that drives the alternator.
would something like this work for mounting my alternator low and on the right hand side?

im just trying to figure out how the alternator gets aligned with a pulley mounted on the front of the balancer. theres like 3" difference. if anyone can point me towards a bracket that'd be awwwwesome.

I can't imagine that bracket will clear the hull.
Kragan/ autozone, checker, o riely sell universal mounts and arms. you can bolt the universal mount to the stringer and the arm off the head to make everything line up. You only have so many choices when it comes to pullies and you have to make up the rest with spacers and custom mods.
