And that center point will have to go before a wing will install there.

If you watch that vid of the dash, from the time the tach starts north I am in it for about 7 sec. At the boat drags it takes around three to get to the starting beam and the faster guys make the 1/8th mile marker around 4 sec.~ So I would venture to say this was around an 1/8th mile hit. Plenty fast for a lake hot-rod.
130.7mph in about 7sec , from an idle.

Turns 7200 on the button and the limiter comes in at 7500. On this very short/quick pass from a dead stop the recall on my Nordskog GPS said 130.7 mph.
These vids are of the same pass

You can see me get out of the boost button when I hear the limiter and then get back in it if you watch the boost guage.

Thanks man, the cool thing is it'll run like that on the C-16 tank, then I can turn on the pump gas and go ride around the rest of the day. It'll still haul ass on 12psi & pump gas.
Hmmmm, wonder what this thing would feel like with 32psi on the button.

    looks good hass.
it's not all that difficult or expensive to measure out 1/8mile, 1000', or 1/4mile. tie some balloons to bricks and mark the spot. or, use painted milk cartons - used that method several times. yeah, some people will bitch, but frack 'em. i've seen perfectly good coves screwed up by a bunch of whitewine drinkin ski antiques that would go in there and anchor a full slalom course, then just leave it. then they'd get all pissy if a jetboat towed down the center. they had no more right to the water than we did...

Thanks Bob. I am going to cut the distance(or the boost) back quite a bit. Pretty dangerous doing that crap on the lake. And that lifeline , helmet, & restraints wont do me any good setting in the back seat of the truck. I have been listening to quite a bit of this from the people who care the most for me, so time to pull the reigns back just a bit. Atleast I know what it can do if needed. And if the need arises then I'll put on the safety stuff before I'll run. I dont know how fast this thing will run but it was still pulling real hard when I let up on it at 130.7 , and even at that level this is plenty dangerous in a controlled enviroment with a safety crew. Boarders on the line of stupidity on a lake with your buds. I hope to still be doing this for another 35-40 yrs, lol.

Guess I'm getting older & wiser, lol. I sound like my father

just to be clear, all the testing i've done over the last 7 weeks has been with helmet/restraint/lifeline on, and lanyard connected. couple reasons for that. first, this is a new deal that's never been dialed before. second is, it's plain stupid (or ignorant, pick one) not to on the open water of havasu, even if things -look- perfect. if i -do- get tossed, i'd like to be sort of in one piece and floating. second, i'd like to kill the engine and hopefully not have the boat drive off into the rocks by itself. people drown out on havasu all the time, and i don't really care to. the lanyard is probably most important, to keep the thing from coming back and running me over, or running into somebody else.

the last time we tested, water wasn't "ideal", but good enough to get a couple tests done. while we were talking on the ramp, water went to glass. so we picked a route to make a wot pass. got in the water, turned around idling out, still looked like glass. i hit it, and within 3 seconds, i was hitting rollers and getting tossed completely out of the water, lifted out of the seat.

don't know how predictable your water is, but where i'm running on havasu, it's a toss up, even at 6am. if i could run on thompson bay, it would be perfect.... it only takes about 3 minutes to get the crap on. 3 minutes that could save your life... i can drive around out there all day at 90-95. a wot pass is different.

I always hook up the lanyard because its easy & quick but I'll be the first to admit that I run the boat with just a plain 100mph rated jacket to many times because of the hassle. I would be lucky if that pos jacket would even still be on me if I had an accident over 120. Yes its wrong, yes I need to wear my lifeline, restraints, helmet, pants, shoes, driving gloves, lanyard, hook up my lanyard for my chute. But sometimes its just to damn hot and I'm out there just for a little fun so I think the best thing to do is to limit the boost and just live by the rule that if someone wants to race then they'll have to wait till I put on my gear.

your oil pressure gauge sure acts wierd when your off the gas. But then again I never pay attention to mine at deaccel., just at top rpm

Yeah my oil temp was 240+ at that point because I'd been hammering on it for a while. I have a Jeff Johnson Billet specialties pan with the trap doors & windage tray as well as a Titan pump. Not real impressed with the pan, but as long as that pressure stays above 10psi before it goes back up I'm not worried, have never had any problems.
