mounting electric fuel pump...

people with electric fuel pumps are you mounting yours directly to the transom or are you using any type of rubber to help deal with the vibrations? it seems like i turn my ignition on and its back there whirring away, pretty noticeable. just curious if anyone else had a problem/deal like this and if mounting it with some type of rubber isolator helped with the noise.

Sure, you can quiet it down a bit with rubber mounts...... Also remember, electric pumps push, not pull like a mechanical.... Mount as close as possible to the tank(s)..........

Mine is mounted on an aluminum plate that is mounted on the stringer.

I'm mounted on the stringer and once I fire up the BBC I can't even hear the fuel pump

true, once its running u cant hear it. maybe its a good thing i can hear it before i start it... hrmm.

I agree. If you can hear the POS after your start the boat, get some real exhaust!

Maybe you could incorporate the MSD vibration mounts that they use on the ignition boxes to help also. Sure anything is better than nothing.

Both of mine are mounted to my front motor plate, 1 on each side of crank wheel as low as they can go. Mallory marine 110fp
Can barley hear them when the motor is off.

That block off plate mount is kinda spiffy

I'm not a big fan of electrics, fire and electric fuel pumps always scare me.
