CP19 First time out with the new boat

Hey Now!
I got out to Lake Nacimiento over the weekend.
My first time out with this boat and newly installed motor.
Everything went well, just a little wrenching in a few spots.

I really like the way it rides, seems like the set up is pretty close.
I didn't have a GPS, the motor turned the AA impeller at 5k.

Looks great!!! Get the GPS out and check your numbers next time out. How much HP? Gives a great ride doesnt it.

Thanks for remembering Squirtcha. Classic mistake to start a boat project at the start of summer instead of the end. Is October still in summer? Guess I didn't miss the entire season. Hopefully we'll see the water a few times before the brutal so cal winter takes hold.

Not sure about the HP, I'll bet some people here could make a pretty accurate guess. 454, ported 990 heads, ISKY Z89 solid cam, roller rockers, Victor intake, Dominator 1050.

I'd guess she was around 80, maybe a little over, trimmed up at 5k RPM with the AA impeller. Like you told me the ride is a lot smoother in the gulling vs the V bottom. I'll have the GPS next time, I was so jacked to get on the water that I didn't stop and buy one. Good times.

Yeah, but you've still got a good bit of running time yet and you're good to go for next year. It's a nice boat and sometimes you have to get em while the getting's good no matter what time of year. Nice job getting it on the water.
