How do they work? What are they worth?

Once all avenues are exhausted to make a boat launch, a launch control is some times needed. What it does in ramps the engine rpm's over a given time.

Yes, you have a couple seconds of programmable rev limiting. It was designed specifically for drag racers. Pretty sure the concept has been copied by one of the major ignition system manufacturers albeit with a longer available time frame to be programmed.

Did you try the impeller yet ? Did it work out for you ?

shortly after the banderlog launch controller was designed and built, msd found out about the idea. they already had a timing control that was very similar, so created software to use with that box, and created the msd launch controller. the original banderlog would work most of the time, but as craig said, was only good for a few seconds. the msd could be programmed over a 12 second span, and the software was more user friendly. msd launch control was incorporated into certain models of the digital 7 box more than 2 years ago.
