About LinkBacksIm looking for some 5/16 x 4 inch stainless studs and some 1/2 stainless studs x 2 inch. If anyone has any info I would highly appreciate it.

I needed some 5/16 X 3 and I couldn't find them either. I ended up making them out of threaded rod (?all thread?).

Just buy stainless allthread and make your own. I thought that's the way everybody did it. I didn't even know you could buy em readymade.
Run a couple nuts on first and jam em together. Vice it up by the nuts (OUCH!), cut to length and when you remove the nuts, it'll straighten up the cut threads on the ends.

is there a reason that you dont want to use a bolt?
Try a bolt with some wedges. Doesnt work very well

Im going to machine me own. I wanted a hex head on them to hold while tightening them down.

Seriously, I have had to order from these guys. If you can't find what you're looking for, ask them. They have always come up with what I needed.

We get alot of things like that from McMaster-Carr. Shipping isn't too bad, just have to wait a few days for things to arrive plus they have a lot of speciality stuff like mil spec and aircraft items that we use.
