    Default Hi - Tech Marine

Sending my intake up to them for machining, shoe and rideplate.
Their phone service and support is as I remember, just excellent.
I haven't done business with them since they were in Goddard, over ten years ago.
I am so looking forward to working with them again.
Maybe I can sneek a few tips for the 21 footer.

Might contact Dave at liberator. He might give you some insight on your boat.

    Default Steering

Can anyone help me with the correct length, steering, throttle and up/down Morse 33 C cable lengths.
Converting this to a jet from an outboard and I am not sure of the needed lengths.
    21 foot Liberator...

    Thanks,

    Kevin

Default Need a little turbo help

I am gathering parts for this project still. I have most of the Gale Banks kit from the eighties, less the carb box. The intercooler I have is like the one in the picture.
It looks to have a standard 4150 base that will bolt up to a standard intake. I have researched many projects on the site and am a little confused. I assume this is a draw thru system that pulls air thru the holleys, compressed by the turbos and sent to the intercooler. Can I bolt this intercooler to an EFI intake utilizing fuel rails etc? Or, do I need a throttle body under the intercooler or? If this is the case, how do you plumb the air thru the intercoolers..hmmmmm, any tips or pictures.
    Thanks!

    Default carb box

Maybe I should just get a carb box, anyone have one for sale? There seems to be very limited manufacturers on "Google" unless I am searching for the wrong stuff.

With EFI, and the turbos you have which have seals in the compressors for draw-thru, you could put the throttle body in either location. If you put the throttle body on the manifold, you could get into a compressor surge situation, unless you put in a blow off valve. For simplicity, I would probably put them at the turbo inlets.

    Default Progress!

Sure is nice to have someone else working on this project. We are using some old steel ring templates made 20 years ago for double drilling a bowl.
Learning tap and die is a pretty handy skill too! This is the most fun because it involves working with my son! He just thought he was learning a lot in shop class!
It is important for him to understand just how many hours it really takes to build anything...

My uncle ran a pretty similar PFM kit for like 20 years and recently went to EFI. He located the throttle body (s) on the carb box.

    Nice boat...

What year is it? And what part of the country are you in?

Still need cable lengths? I can get them for you tonight or tomorrow if you need.

If it flies, floats, or fornicates you are bound to have trouble with it.
