    Default Yet another Liberator 21

Always loved these boats! I have had a few TX's and a couple of 18" Lightnings. Hoping this 21 will be a totally different ride.
Been watching this one for a year or two and it's a damn shame that someone can let a boat go this far down. I am a newby to this site although I have been watching for quite some time. You can't polish a turd but I am going to on this one just a bit. I have a blown BBC and a Dominator in my shop from back in the day, so here we go. This will be a project for me and my fourteen year old just to see if he is ready for some real work. If nothing else it'll be that much closer with new stringers, and intake/pump and new paint, surely I have at least that much energy left. Oh, and the dukes of hazard paint WILL be the first thing to go. LOL

    Default wheels

Can anyone assist me with the wheel/tire size on this trailer. I believe it is an original Liberator trailer, it just has 4 non-matching wheels and tires on it. I guess I need to be able to pull it first!

I have a 1999 21' Liberator and the tires that came with it are 205-75-14 with 14 x 7 wheels.

Congrats. Looks like a really nice boat project. I've recently picked up a 21 Daytona ex outboard boat and am in the process of finishing up the stringer/bulkhead replacement as well. Keep the pictures coming..........john

Yea, it's an outboard boat. No stringers. I am going to have to find out if the plywood bottom is rotten.
If it is then it will be all new balsa. Not sure how much keel work will need to be done, a bunch I am sure.
I am reviewing all of the threads on this site and taking notes. I need to determine pump placement as well as motor placement.
We used to put the motor pretty far forward in the Lightnings to keep them from chime walking at over 100. I think it was a 12" driveshaft with the
pump hand hole cover about 2" outside the transom. But that was then. I am hoping to get the setup a little closer since there are a lot pf pictures here on this site. Have the snoot, but still thinking about the loader and the shoe. got a box of wedges too....lol

That's where I found mine, they don't look bad for $75.00
