Capsule Orientation at Wheatland

There will be a capsule orientation offered in Wheatland. The capsule orientation has been changed to 8 AM on Friday, before Test and Tune. The LODBRS website still has it shown on Friday afternoon, but this is not the case. The location will remain the same, at the Rescue Cove near the finish line and closest to the tower. Drivers will need to test with the breathing system they will be using and bring along a fully charged air cylinder. The master list of capsule certifications shows several drivers who are either out of compliance or have not been updated. It is a culmination of lists from all the LODBRS member associations, past and present. If you have had a certification in the last 4 years, and are not on the list, you will need to provide verifiable information; association, certifying rescue diver, date, and location of your certification. This will need to include the capsule dunk portion of the certification. Please contact the LODBRS office, Ken Dollar, Paul Hosler, Henry Sarandria, or Scott Burrows before before day of Test and Tune, if you plan to attend. We hope to see a bunch of you there and look forward to getting everyone in compliance.

Scotty- Since I pretty much know Doug Maderer will not be in Wheatland do you know of anyone who can fill bottles in Wheatland?

Patty, I'm not aware of anybody else that has a compressor. I will do a search and see where the nearest dive shop is located. Maybe someone from that area will jump in here.

There are 3 dive shops listed in Springfield. Haven't found anything closer yet.

Thanks Scotty! Always thought you rescue guys should tech our tanks and fill em too. Especially since it don't look like anyone who runs the national lucas series has the machine to fill em up for us.

We don't even tech or fill our own tanks. We just bring more air than we plan on using, because it's kind of important.

Scotty (as I raise my coffee cup) here is to you guys not needing even one breath of that canned air this year!!!! Thank you guys for doing what you do....in case nobody hasn't told ya, you guys are the real heros in my book!!!

Congratulations to 2 new capsule drivers and 6 re-certs, on completing / updating their capsule certifications. Good to go for another 4 years.

My brother Casey and I both took the recert dunk class at Wheatland (we were the one's sharing the gear) . We haven't had the dunk class in 10 years. You guys do a great job and we both thought the class was well organized.

Now, I hope I don't need it!

Thanks Shannon. Your names will be added to a master list that will be shared will all the racing associations, including non-members. There has not been a certificate to date but there is discussion about including it on your liscense or a seperated card to hang on the lanyard with the medi cards. I will email you a copy of the form that was submitted to LODBRS, until something is offered.
