Hi Rich! No the boat won't be there. The boat is at Dave Sammons house in Carlsbad at this moment waiting for a spot at Billie B's. I really wish that it was goung to be there though. It probably won't be done until September or so. See Ya, Mike

Rumor has it that they will be building one soon but not in time for the July race. There are some small motels locally but not very many left now-a-days. Here is a link to the local chamber of commerce. When you folks come to play plan on a little extra time because within a short distance is Pomme de Terre, a beautiful lake excellent for fishing, camping,tubing or just kicking back and enjoying a cold beverage.

Thanks for the link I made a couple inquires, Looking at the list of 21 possible , it is not as bad as the rumor suggested, but I am not sure how far all of these places are from the track. Thank god they did not stack a sprint car race on the same weekend.

Hi Richie!!

I had heard there was one hotel "The Wheatland Hotel" and it is already booked solid for that weekend. Dragboatnut AKA Mark told me the next closest was half hour drive. Hope all is well up there in PA. Tell Roxy I said hello.

I would think that there are many rooms available in the Sunset Beach area.

I haven't made the drive YET to Wheatland but Im sure that 540 and several others here can tell ya if the Lake Of The Ozarks hotels are an easy drive OR not...

I wish there was an EASY way to sync up the racers with the multitudes of rentals/timeshares on Lake Of The Ozarks... There are TONS...

It looks like there is a dirt track late model race at the speedway on sat night the 30th.
