thanks man! I will be calling soon. getting excited about this new project. LS motors are new to me as is EFI and turbos. just now needing a driveline and coupler, injectors, and soon trying to figure out how to make it run.

Tom, I need your help. I have my LS-1 bolted into the hull, ordered 76mm turbo, intercooler, misc parts. I have the stock coils, engine wiring harness, and the box from a 99 firebird. no flywhell, reluctor wheel and no clue where to begin. I will be fabbing my exhaust and building driveline and pump, installing gas tanks etc so I have things to do but I want to begin the EFI stuff. I assume I need 80 lb injectors and some sort of inline fuel pump. I have the wastegate and blow off valve orered too. can I use the gm electronic box or should I get an aftermarket system? thanks, Dave

that sounds pretty interesting. if you hear of any good deals out there for the basic motor to start with, let me know. I have no exp with LS other than my vette has one. no exp with blowers either. only exp I have is NA, nos, BBF. if I do it, it needs to be at least close to as quick as my other boat which is approaching 120 mph and about 8.7's. I don't want to spend a fortune but since I have the hull and the blower, might as well do something.

all day long, but you'll need alil more cubes to do it. dave if you could find a junkyard all alum 6.2l motor, you'd be able to do it pretty easy with jus a piston and rod upgrade to forged, the stock ls cranks are reliable up to 1100hp, all except the ls1 5.7l motors, they had lightened cranks in em and dont take near the abuse a truck crank will.build either a forged piston/rod 6.0l-6.2l motor, boost it to 20lbs and it'll do al you'd wanna to do in a boat that lite. the alum ls motors are 330lbs lighter than a cast bbc with alum heads.

is the LS able to hold 1,000 hp comfortably? is 1,000 hp realistic with a blow thru procharger setup? I have looked at the LS site a little. they are car guys and mostly only talking about rear wheel hp and turbos and efi.

that'd work great dave, i like turbos but a procharger will get r done! check out ls1tech.com dave and it'll get ya on the right track with cam etc. if you go the ls route. lotta procharger ls guys on that site and they'll know more bout procharging a ls than me, i'm pretty well versed on turbo and na ls's but have never even seen a procharged ls in person.should be able to pull pretty decent hp and tq outta it tho, plenty for over 100

Hey Tom, how are things? I been thinking about what to do with a spare Cheyenne hull and a Procharger. they are taking up space. what about a LS motor and the Procharger? any thoughts?
