i can tell just by reading your posts that you have a lot of great experiance and dyno time.
i wanted to ask you a question if i may.i scabbed together a 477ci bbc from a 100 over 454 block, gm steel 4'' crank,6.135 eagle h-beams,high dome (50cc) ross pistons,and a set of old s\r dart 320 heads that have a 4.500 chamber 115cc's 2.250\1.880/11/32stems, clay smith solid flat cam 276@.50x 630 lift., dart open plenum int. and braswell 830 winston cup carb.
this engine runs great! never dynoed but must be bumpin 700, anyway my question is because the heads have larger bore chambers and pretty big for this app. the were super mod ported by dart said to be 327int.
would i be better off running my other set of dart heads that are 310 un touched and std. bore bbc. with 2.30x 1.88x 3/8 stem.and 115cc's??

Hey steelcomp I saw your words with hotboat about tunnel rams and I was wanting to ask you some questions it sounds like you have dyno knowledge!! I am building a 620 cube chevy Dart tall deck block 10.2 compresion comp cam special grind 4/7 swap 741 lift on intake 715 lift on exhaust and duration @ .050 268 on intake and 278 on exhaust jet drag boat cam I have a TX-19 with a dom pump with a Hi-helix A/B and I have two 800 4150s to go on top of the tunnel ram with sidways setup!! Now what HEADS AND TUNNEL RAM would you use I was going to use a set of Dart pro2 380cc heads and Dart tunnel ram now is my app big enough for that setup let me know what you think? And I am open to any suggestions please let me know. THANKS JD
What kind of experience are you asking about? I've never had a set in my hands, but AFAIK, they're no different than any otehr BB Chev head as far as how they work or how they're made. What casting are they?
