    Default casale gear change question ?

    would going from 22% to 32% make a noticeable difference in a gear change . i would like to put some more gear in my boat . what are some of the gear ratios you guys are running .

    what kind of boat do you have? And how much power is in it...do you know what it weighs? What prop is under it?

    flat bottom v-drive 17ft , 550 hp , 11 3/8 - 14 , 1500 lbs give or take a little . i am going to try and weight it . just have not done it yet ..... thanks for your reply ......

    Those gears (32's) seem awful big for your motor. What rpm are you turning with the 22"s ? I have over 700 hp and I run 12"s with a 11 1/4 16 menkens prop and top out around 7100 rpm.

    motor will spin 6500 rpm ..... i will double check next time i get it out ... it pulls hard ..

    it just seems like to me the thing is toped out with in 100 yard or less . what kind of speed do you think i am looking a with the gear and prop i have ......
