Anyone know Butch Tomczak? I own his Hondo BFG "BUTCHERFOOT IN IT"

Just looking for any racing history/pics details of the boats past. If Butch hasn't passed I would like to get ahold of him...The boat was bought from Butch in Michigan, in the 80's I think...

Andrew I will check ,I think I can get ahold of someone in my neck of the woods that would have info might take some time BTW...waste a day or two and come to our winter party we welcome all of you Canucks and we have a couple mutual friends(Al Ward,and his son)back too it Iwill try to find out more for you.Ken

Thanks md, I would love to put together some of the boats history and eventually build a blower moter for it (possibly hit a race or two...just for fun!


When was this party? I saw it posted, don't have time to look right now. I'm stuck on a lake ship till January(been on since July)
I NEED A FRIGGIN PARTYThe D-roc is only about a 3-4 hr drive from my place (if you can keep yer foot out of it!) , would love to catch up with AL and all the other hot boat crowd. We'll actually be sailing up the Detroit river in about a week or so, I swear I have heard gun shots! Is your location secure?

And I will post more pics/EXACT measurements of my Hondo when I get home....

As far as I gater I am runing the original motor plates, I'm a BBC guy mainly cuz Fords are a BITCH to wrench on in a vehicle there is always one bolt you can't get at without pulling half the acc off!

Andrew I have good news and bad news...as I talked to someone the subject came up,as I understand it Butch loved that boat so much...It stayed in the garage,,, Congrats on the boat you got but other than the weeks in Michigan in the early 70s back in the day man- Ford lake and Oxford lake and ye olde holloway, never came out or raced the flat.... - never anthing other than local but it was there , you could say it was the blinger in the way back ....and my buddy said it was a Pontiac in it - probably dropped out of favor and sat outside - he raced hydros for guys but never his flat that I saw anyway ,he is still around tho ,ran into him about 4 months ago ,still a very nice humble quiet guy .... So you know no race history just his pride and joy for a while...next time you run into Al Ward or his son tell em Ken and Walt say eh?Butch used to drive the sting I believe it was a (Sanger Hydro) wild fresno frisbee there...KC or Shep

Thats great thanks! I would love to find any pics from back in the day and just piece it's history back together... If you run into Butch I would be interested in talking to him. I will be seeing the Wards in Jan and intend on coming to the winter party unless I get shipped out again early...

The boat was rotten when I got it and had allready had the floors and stringers tore out, I had them replaced and re-rigged the boat, but ran it with the paint that was on it...next project after the new engine will be to touch up some stress cracks and get her all blinged back up with a shinny coat!
