Does anyone boat on Lake Shelbyville? I need to do a little testing with the blown alcohol engine in my Mako, but the river is flowing fast and high and is full of stuff. Would they give me a hard time over at Shelbyville?

I have never been there but its on my list of places to go. I heard it was like a mini lake of the ozarks, so I wouldn`t think they would hassel you too much, but I can`t give a more definitive answer than that

Thanks for the input. I know of a few jet boat guys who used to go there with open headers, and they never seemed to have a problem. My only concern is getting busted for not having any IL registration numbers on the boat.

You know that when you fill out the registration form for IL #`s it becomes a 120 day temp permit, so even though there are no numbers on the boat you are legal...

Yeah I know, because we did that on my old man's jet boat. But, I wasn't planning on registering this boat since it's strictly race-only. I guess I could just fill out the forms and send them their money but not put the numbers on the boat.

Grow a set and take the boat out or pay the $$$$$$ and stop whinning gotta test it to see how it runs.
