We should try to get some people from different areas of the state together for a day. Anybody interested?

I'm in and I now two others that will be more than willing to do so.
I'm in too, however ya better hurry up since summer is nearing the end. I'll be racing in Fairmont, MN on the 14th.
Troy and I have just started trying to get a 'Hot Boat Wednesday' deal started every week in Stillwater on the St. Croix. This probably won't take off until next season.
A one time gathering would be neat if it was somewhat centrally located. Where and when did you have in mind? Jocko
I am open to anything and would not mind if I had to travel, as long as its not too far. Maybe something on a Saturday somewhere? There are a couple of boaters up here that would probably join us. Any ideas?

What is MN Db level for noise?
I will throw out some ideas as to where to go.
1. Lake Vermilion. This is about an hour north of duluth. I go to this lake a couple of times a year. It is a very large lake, I have never had a problem with the law on this lake, or heard of anybody having problems. There is a casino/golf resort on the lake, as well as many bars/restaurants. There is gas available on the lake in at least three places.
2. Lake Superior. If the wind is out of the south it is hard to beat Lake Superior. You can cruise though the lift bridge and out into the lake. The lake water has been unusually warm this year, you can actually swim in it with out freezing. You can run down the river, which is fun. You can cruise by big ships and ore boats, which is neat too. Plenty of places to eat. Probably one of my favorite places to boat.

The Mississippi at Wabasha is nice with lots of sandbars and never a peep from the law about noise.
Im game...anybody else?
