Ft Gibson Lake-Good Time Today!!

Well a bunch of us went to Gibson today from the Owass/Tulsa area! If i remember correctly there were 6 0r 7 V Drives and a couple of Jets. Lots of fun and some fast boats there!! Yes retired flatbottom racer broke his cherry with the new boat and it is a BEAST just in initial set up that canyon broke well over the 100 mark "GPS"! Yes its a true 100 plus boat "Yes Bill i am tuting your horn" All in all it was good day lots of other nice and quick boats there---------Good Day!! Oh yeah and JETTER was there with his Jet boat, but his V drive couldn't come because he would have had to paddle it around, maybe one of these days he will bring out to play!!!

All in all a NICE DAY ON THE LAKE!!!

Sounds good are there any pictures of the little Ft Gibson play day? Glad to hear Bill's new toy floats

Well had the camera but did'nt pull it out,and yes don is right Bill was flying,and there was alot of nice boats out there.And now after yesterday I'm going to be on mine every night untill its going.

Dam!!! Saturday I dusted off the ol harley and took a drive out there to scout out lakes to take the sanger flatty out to but had no luck in finding a good place.I live right off 51 across from the milk and ice cream factory in broken arrow.This will be my first summer livng here so I have no idea where to go?? Thought I would take a drive out there to see the lake but had no luck...next time you guys go would love some directions...lol...rick

I'm sure someone will fix you up with directions.

First off you must attend thurs evenings at Keystone lake. Then we might tell you how to get to Gibson.

We saw some drag boats down at the island on Sat and were gone by the time we got down there. . James had his big bad jet boat there Sunday.

Took info Jr's boat down on Sunday. Were still testing. Got it to read 90's on GPS but is still not loading water worth a crap.

It was a good time! And for the record I remember 6 flatbottoms, 3 V-drive day crusiers and 2 jets being there. George's new Cole ride worked out nice and will be a lot better with a lower gear and the motor not shooting ducks. Seems the fuel pressure may be to low. GW's Canyon ran flawless as always and looked great Don has made a lot of progress on his Sanger. The steering seemed fixed, plates adjusted better and new prop seemed to help. He had a smile on his face! My Canyon was a little short in the gear box and hitting the rev limiter at 8000. Taller gears and we will try again. All in all, it was a fun trip!

Rumor is the island has lots of sand again like it did 15 years ago! YEA!

old williams had his howard out now thats a kick ass boat i watched him rebuild it his new hondo is really a bad boy the silver streak is awesome cant wait to see it finished. what a boat.

couldn't make it to gibson so made a run to okmulgee nice people there the ol 66 sanger didint run to bad..heres a few pics see ya SOON!

You know unless this is supposed to be a complete DIY project maybe they could help as long as they're stopping by to look.

Boat build at Gene's!!! HE JUST NEEDS TO GET THE LEAD OUT!!! Shoot lets see i worked at the office untill 8:30 last night then i stopped by ACADEMY on my way HOME, Oh wait before i could go home i went by the BOAT BUILD to DROP OFF a boat build part i was a nice enough to stop and get on my way home and then drop it off at YES you know where Gene's. I am not griping but GOING TO A BOAT BUILD PARTY WITH GENE IN HIS PAJAMA'S AIN'T MY KIND OF PARTY, I THINK I HAVE BEEN SCARRED FOR LIFE, I am just glad he didn't have the BANJO out...

Don, I went by there tonight and believe it or not he was working on it!

I left at about 8:00 pm and he said he was about ready to call it a night.
