New Okie here.

Hi, I just wanted to say I am a new member to this forum and to Jet Boating. I have been out in my new boat 3 times and had a blast so far. We usually go to Lake Tenkiller in Ok but I think we are going to hit some other lakes this year.

My boat is a 77 Taylor SJ with a 454 BBC. I am converting it from Edelbrock logs and over transom Chrome Pipes to Bassett Headers and from a low deck aluminum intake to a Weind T-Ram with single 850 Holley. I also Have a 8-71 Blower set-up I am gathering parts for right now for 2011.

I am sure I will have lots of questions later on for you guys about this jet boating stuff...

BTW - I also do quite a bit of Drag Racing in my 69 GTO's...

welcome to the board lets see some pics of your rides. I live in pryor we have a small hotrod crowd that hangs out on lake hudson in salina and the river going to party island

Welcome! I recognize you from OWB and TRP also. Been going to the lake more than drag racing the last few years myself. Don't believe I've met you but know your car from your pics. BTW I've got a red 77 Vega.

Hammer - Here are some pics of my cars...

Chopperdaddy - not sure what I want on the logs yet. I heard the nostalgia crowd really digs the old Edelbrocks but I may need to keep em just in case...

I have only hung out with my Brother in Law and another buddy at the lake. They both have Youngblood Jets, MY BIL has a Picklefork with a T-rammed BBC and the other Youngblood I am not sure what it is called but it has a BBC as well.

KCVega - I have seen that vega run a few times - most impressive!

I hope to see all you guys on the lake this year.

PS - Sorry, no pics of the boat yet, something about cameras and water...

Infomaniac - I have seen your posts over on TRP as well as a bunch of other guys on here... I used to live south of Bobs Mini Mart from 1989 to 1999.

I cleaned out the cookies on my puter and lost me log-on info for OWB and have never been able to get back on there for months now... If I try to retrieve my password nothing comes back to my e-mail using my username and if I try to re-register it tells me my e-mail address is already in use and won't let me and the moderators are impossible to get hold of... their loss I guess...

I have no idea where party island is up that way but hope to learn them all eventually...

hi kc,I,ve seen your vega at broken arrow lowes last summer,it gave me the bug to find one and build one again..lol..it's very nice...I've been looking for a halfway clean one for a awhile now...but geez garage space is already taken up by sanger..lol..anyway I will keep looking maybe someday I will find some complete junker with a blown four banger thats been sitting forever..anyway nice vega!see yah out on the lake since we are close neighbors anyway!

Yep, that's probably mine. Haven't seen another one around here on the streets. There was a 76 Pontiac Astre on craigslist for like $450 a few weeks ago.
