Coonass Bash 2010

Ok guys the bash will be held at the Aransas river on Saturday May 1st .....

BBQ will be ready at lunch time and then the fun starts .......

Directions: Go to Woodsboro, Tx Junction of hwy 77 & Fm 136
Take Fm 136 E through town ......you will go around the town center and then come to a 4 way stop .........take a right on Fm 1360 .......follow for about 8 miles +/- to Aransas River RD take right .........Road will deadend to the ramp .........

There is plenty of room for tents, RV's, ect. .........no power or water so you will need your own ..........

Me and the Fam will be sleep'n out there Saturday night!!
If someone needs a motel room ......there is a few in Refugio right up the road from woodsboro ........Or if you are going the other way .......Sinton has one right off of Hwy 77


the river is wide and deep ..... about 15 miles of runn'n up stream ......plenty room to play

yes ......fresh water ......a few creeks up near Skidmore ........
must be a spring also that feeds it ........dam thing is flow'n all year long
From what I hear .......... the dam is downstream from the ramp
we will be play'n up stream from the ramp .......

yes it is wide and deep so no problems with the hydro's

well shit I don't know how much room do you need

Yes they have a few sandbars .......they use to keep some of them clean'd ......

yes I was on it sunday with TJ ........we took his lil 16' fish'n boat

well I didn't have a depth finder ......but the prop never hit nothin

Whats the matter with the Red River? I hear peeps talkin about runnin on it every now & then, not too often though...

I like running on the rivers around here myself, never have to worry about it bein choppy like out on the lakes we got...

You need to find you an old stocker for a spare & then you wouldn't be without the Rogers.... Worked for me....

I gotcha.. Yeah, I remember that about the lakes up there bein so flooded & meesed up damn near the whole summer for you guys... The rivers around here ain't all kittens & sunshine all the time far as stuff in the water. Guy tore his v-drive all to shit at the Colorado little while back cuz he drug it across a tree or something under the water. Hell, the river I like to go to here local has a Confederate Ironclad sunk in it... It used to stick out of the water some, now, not so much... Just gotta steer waaaaayyy clear in that area, the river is wide right there, so its not much of a problem.

come down to shreveport, red river down here is the place to go.
plenty of good ramp's nice sand bar's to hang out on, and lot's of good place's to chow down at.

Cody, I'm gonna try to make this deal if I can. I'm not gonna be able to commit to it though because my son is graduating from HS in Mississippi and I'll need to save my pennies to go and see him.
