Default Buyers Advice-2001 Baja Outlaw 33

    Hello,

I am looking at buying this 2001 Baja 33 Outlaw: http://stlouis.craigslist.org/boa/1858593426.html

    It has the folowing options:
    Twin 454 Magnums
    Clarion Stereo System
    Silent Choice
    Drop down bollisters
    Barely used cabin
    $56,000 is the bottom dollar

I took the boat for a test drive yesterday and it was great! However I am unsure about the price. After checking NADA the value only states that it is worth $45,000. I am new to the world of powerboats and could use some advice. Thanks in advance for the reply!

Buyers market right now.If you have that much money to spend you could find a much better deal. Its alot like the housing market right now lots of people spent to much money on those kind of boats and are upside down.Keep looking.

Thanks for the advice! I am going to make a trip to the lake on Sunday to do more shopping. I have considered a 25 with a single but not sure about manuverability, quick plaining/hole shot, and handling the lake during peak season etc.

There is a guy local that has the same year the same boat here local to me except it has twin 500hp 502's for 25k. If I can sell one of my cars I am buying it. Has 120 hours on it. I know that he will take 20k for it. His brother is my friend.

I'm really looking for a Baja unless (and I doubt it) there are any outstanding deals on a formula or donzi.

I am guessing you looked at the boat spam on this site. I bought a used custom performance boat from the west coast a couple years ago, and I love it. The deals on boats in the 30ft range are awesome on here, and the guys aren't shy about giving there opinions on them. I was looking at the mainstream brands before I bought mine, and I am glad I did. I like having something different though, just my two cents.
