Is Okoboji any good?
THanks guys.

Lake Red Rock gets hopping, but it also get's pretty rough at times. A lot of people play on the Mississippi. Mornings and evenings you can find some great water for flats. What do you have for a boat?

I have a Taylor ss jet 19 foot, a Good lake boat. Most of my buddies got jet skis.
I was doing some looking; and I found that Rathbun might be a pretty nice place too.
Any opinions of Rathbun?
I'm looking for some water in Iowa as well to run my Taylor SC. If you find some good spots this spring...let me know! I'm moving to the Council Bluffs area in a couple of months.
Cheers!
Anybody know anything about Lake MacBride? Seems like a big lake...but that doesn't mean anything.
Did you guys give up on river boating? I heard coralville lake was pretty nice. Had a trip planned last year but their leavey broke and never made it over.![]()
haha, no, there's a few different reasons we're looking for a lake.
My one buddy with the party pontoon might not be able to bring it so we're probably going to have to rent one, so we will need that availability.
We also are going over a weekend, and need lodging.
It looks like coralville might be our best bet though....eh? eh?
Coralville is a great party lake and a few spots to camp at - a place called Scales Point has everything you need at a price, but sometimes it can get pretty crowded and choppy with all the big houseboats and party barges, etc for a jet boat. Lake McBride is out for boats over 9.9 - they like it nice and quiet for fishing there. We have quite a few jet boats just up I-380 from Coralville at Ellis Harbor in Cedar Rapids on the Cedar River. If you are ever planning on being in the area let me know!
Is Lake Rathbun better than/equal to Coralville as far as a party lake goes, or atmosphere...stuff to do on the water?
I've never been to Rathbun sorry.
you should come to the Des Moines river, there are a few of us jet boaters down here. they have been working on our web site, check it out xtremejetboating.com
awesome! Thanks for the info, I'll check it out.
