New Member intro

My name is Steve, currently in Kansas.

I recently purchased a 1990 Carrera 20.5 Elite jet boat for the family, also have an early 70's model Hondo. The jet boat is open bow and has been fitted with a custom ski tower. It has a 454 BBC with a Berkely jet.

I am looking for info on the Hondo. The previous owner told me it was a speed record holder in California during the early 70's. It was previously named " black power" or "Blackpower" and was fitted with a Hemi. Does anyone in here have have any info on this.

Welcome to the site. Where in Kansas are you? I may have a picture of your Hondo somewhere, I'll have to find time to look. I sure remember that name from early 70's. Again.....Welcome.

It is currently named "Midnight Special" and is fitted with a 455 olds. The plans are to go back to a stroked Hemi. I baught the boat from a family friend named Frank Vonderwall, he had the boat for 25+ years.
