I have a DPS detailed inducer identical to the one pictured earlier. I run an A impeller, I can put my nitrous on a microswitch on the pedal, and I have flatfooted a 150 shot from idle and the pump holds, and man is it a rocket. I havent worked up the nerve to go bigger on takeoff, but it seems that there is plenty of "bite" to hold a 200 shot or more.

19s are more unstable at the Speed than the 18.
you have to remember that there are a few around here that can very very close to that Mark from the Outlaw camp!

DPS seems to work well, another point about inducers in wingers, I found that if the hardware is set perfect there is little difference if any, but you can run much safer hardware and still keep it hooked with the inducer. When I ran all out blown alky motor in my winger, no inducer (11-1 @ 48 lbs boost) i'm not even gunna say how far below keel the shoe was to get it to hook and go. Lets just say they were not called widowmakers for nothing at that speed.
Billet ones are junk.
the DPS inducers is a decent one better if Fully Detailed.
the new style inducer im not sure if Tom morrow is only making them or Jack Mclure has his own style?
but regardless the new style is suppose to be the shit?
all of this is from reading and Hearsay?
i hope to never need a inducer but if i do i will get the newest set-up.

That 200 rpm could also be because the pump is fully loaded now. When we put it in, Scott didn't have the data acquisition so we didn't test that.

If the motor makes 1000 hp at 7000 and 500 hp at 5000 the correct impeller in theory would be one that allows the motor to turn 7000 BUT for a lake boat this in not always the best choice. Look at torque converters in cars, OK lets say you stick a 6000 stall full race deal in your car, GREAT for the prepped drag track with slicks and full hook up, but insane to drive on the street due to the fact that you cant hook up and the motor always goes to near 6000 before the car moves. The car will actually go faster and quicker on the street with a lower stall converter, so you settle on a compromise of 3000 stall. Same with a jet pump, a BC in a lake boat not good for a lot except drag race deal, while a AAA is to low to allow the motor to make all its power it can but great economy and holeshot, so we pick something in between. Setup, boat weight,air trapping,balance,bottom design,shoe cut, ect ect ect all influence the impeller choice.
All in all there is no way to really say for sure without trying them all to say what is best, but I will say if you can turn a "a" with inducer 7500 your haulin ass.....lol Hope this helped....

I would say that once the impeller is loaded you wouldn't see any different RPM with or without the inducer. I may be wrong!
all I know is I am still burning tires I hit 6000 rpm and it settles down at 5400 when loaded with a 3" nozzle insert
before I had a 3 1/8" insert and she burned tires to 6500 rpm and back to 5400 when loaded. I still have alot to play with but so far thats the word bird
