Wicky, I have a Allison GS with a 225 promax 15 inch mid , stock it ran 93 (couer d alene lake 2200 elavation) . JSRE freshened it up and bumped up the comp so I am hoping for 95. Will probably start running hard this week their has been lots of debris in the lake lately. I saw you in Boise at Lucky peak a number of years ago. I was in a ski boat and you were haulin, only time I have ever seen an Allison in the water at speed. No one but a couple of fisherman have ever even heard of them. Mike

When do you guys go over there?
A couple of us want to come check it out, but wondering why
people drive way over there from Portland, when you can run anywhere
on the Columbia, usually with less wind too.
Not trying to bash, just wondering what the attraction is.....

I actually have 1.81 gears from an Yamaha Excel, I have the lower unit getting done right now in Alabama at Jc's.Im not sure what prop yet, Id like to be able to run in the 90s with 4-5 people in it if thats not a pipe dream.I was thinking a lightning et or chopper 2 both around 30p.It will be a few weeks till this things back together. I havent so much as drivin this boat yet and I hear there a learning curve that will take a bit.Although a all out top speed prop would be great I think Id rather have a gret all around prop. Aaron

    rpm

Running 1.62 gears in a Sportmaster, Dry stacked with Wayne Taylors open exhaust 16" mid. With the 28 & 30 Et run 103-109 mph at 6700-7000 rpm. I figure the 26 should spin atleast 7200, maybe 7400, and still do at least 100 mph. I have come to the conclusion that its kinda dangerous run to 100 + for long streaches around here. We have way to many big boats, wake board boats and rollers. Alot safer to do short spirts to 100+, and not ride there for 20 minutes. No fun hitting roller at high speed.

Looking foward to doing some Big block spanking this summer

    Should be fun

Right on...What rpms are you turning? What gear ratio? It sounds like you'll be somewhere near the top of the LAKE boat food chain!!!

Basically yes. Granted, Yamaha didn't make any big high end wheels.
